Whoops! Cracked rear panel, any ideas on repair?

 Well then he will have to do as I did when I bashed my Hymer the same way, go through the Insurance, the total cost to them was £1200 , a new bumper and one rear light cluster.
He doesn't need a new panel. It just needs repairing properly. Looks like an easy job to me.

When we had a badly cracked rear bumper corner (see below) it was repaired by the insurance as it was part of a much larger 'vandalism' claim, but the repair that was done by the local caravan repair company we used was fantastic and you could NOT tell it had ever been damaged.

 

If it hadn't been part of the larger claim, I certainly would have fixed it myself (excess was £150) as suggested above.
