fairweather camper
Hi, Sorry for hijacking this forum but dont know where to ask, and you are such kind knowledgeable people, thought you wouldn.t mind , does anybody know anything about Salamander water pumps (for shower in house) it is a Salamander CT50 and it does not stop when you turn the water off, We think it is the pressure switch, what we would like to know is, can it be mended easily or do I kneed a new pump. Thanks in anticipation If someone knows the right place to ask, would appreciate knowing. 8-) *-)

colin
IIRC these pumps have a 'float' (for want of a better word) which contains a magnet, when you turn on shower the 'float' is forced a small distance by head of water until it's opposite a reed switch this in turn switches on the pump. These 'floats' can stick. So if it's the type I think you will find a plastic housing on end of pump that contains 'float' you will then need to take apart and see if it is sticking. If it is this type of pump I took one apart couple of years back cleaned it out and reassembled, it still working now.
