There are no restrictions or political correctness on my free and easy say as you want group.

That'll be great news for the legal profession.

YOU set the rules on YOUR forum.

THEY set the the rules on THEIR forum.

What's wrong with that ?

On my forum you can post and read what you like, the only proviso is that you respect other members thoughts and views, if you dont like or agree with what they post then hit the road, simples.

I started the group exactly one week ago and there are now just over 500 members and it is very active, so active I'm thinking of taking on staff to help me out LOL, I started the group at the behest of members of another group who liked what I wrote and they said they would climb aboard.

You always get a dichotomy of thought re Forum content - whatever the Forum.

Those sponsored by a publication organisation such as this one will have to take into account the law and its readers.

Hence it has clear guidelines as to what is acceptable. I never saw the now deleted thread but i would suspect that it fell foul of the religious offence guidelines.

A personal forum would not have that issue unless it was advocating illegal action.

From a personal viewpoint - I think the moderators here are a tolerant bunch of people who always seem to get the "policing" spot on.

The odd Troll and "provocateur" we get on here gets a fair bit of licence before being booted off.

If a thread has been deleted - I therefore suspect there was a good reason.

Can understand why it was deleted in this political correct world we now live in, BUT it was true and funny, so the truth is now illegal and at fault.

So tell lies. Bankers, Politicians do, so its ok.

The thread that was sent in was funny and oh so true, as far as I am aware there are no Muslims on this group that would have taken offence, I think it was Syd that sent it in?

You don't have to be a Muslim to find offence in threads ... for example a thread aimed at Christians could also cause offence to Christians and non-Christians alike, or one aimed at Jews, or whatever religion/creed is being singled out. Offence is offence .... simple as that.

Not sure if this bit is right Mel. It's no good being a Christian nowadays, wrong religion, slowly being eradicated. :-(

I have never known a group to be so touchy and miserable as some of the members on this group and you especially, you must be a right pain in the arse to live with, I pity your husband.

Yes, because I dont like the truth being with held and having read your posts over a considerable time I come to the conclusion that you are a contrary argumentive mare, the only other members on here with a sense of humour are Dave the pelmet and Syd.

I can't comment on the thread that was removed as I never read it.

As above, he who pays the piper calls the tune, so if Warners don't like it they remove the thread, but you should understand that AFAIAW any forum owner is responsible for ensuring it complies with the law of land, many individuals such as yourself are willing to take a risk but for companies thats not a sensible option.

It's interesting to compare this forum with a couple of shooting forums I'm a member of, on here I've seen a couple of threads where 'deterrents' for cats have been posted, you do that on a shooting forum and it's normally a lifetime ban. But go into the members only section and anti muslim views are freely expressed.

The other differance is between a private and 'shop owned' forum, the private forum allows photo's of dead animals in members section, try that on the 'shop owned' forum and it's a ban, even linking to a newpaper article showing dead animals is not allowed.

What about Politicians Colin

They are generally dead from the neck up.

But sadly for us they are often depressingly active from the waist down (running from reality and fornicating/procreating)

I for one am fed up of people who don't like what they hear or see claiming to be offended, offended by everything that does not suit them why oh why can they not just ignore things and get on with life. Actually i am offended by them being offended (if that's not offensive)

Personally, I am offended by people who deny that what they say can cause offence. They don't have to do, or say anything, it is merely their existence that I find offencive. Get out of that! :-D
