Derek Uzzell
Wills Wagon - 2012-11-17 9:12 PM French tourist tax is about €1 a day a person if you stay on sites. Sometimes it is included in site fees and sometimes it is shown as an extra- probably because of VAT. So anybody using a French site for the past 10 years will have been paying it. PS Dont mention it to George Osborne!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you've being paying a Taxe de Séjour daily rate of €1 per person on French campsites, then you've been overcharged. For campsites the rate depends on a site's 'star' category and the minima/maxima are listed here: http://www.etoa.org/policyareas/tourist-taxes/france As I mentioned earlier, a French campsite's Taxe de Séjour may be charged seasonally. At the Camping Municipal Les Pommiers at Ouistreham, for example, the taxe is only charged from 15 June through 30 September.
Cattwg
We stopped overnight at Villanova Park last week and there was a 50c per person Tourist Tax. Thus making the total price €17 with an ACSI Card. Cattwg :-D
