nippermotorhome
Wife has just had a hip replacement does anybody have any idea how I can make the thetford toilet seat 2 inches higher. Have contacted thetford and they could not help. Must be some body who has the same problem as my wife.
Tracker
When my wife had the same problem we bought a domestic sized seat riser and, as I recall, removed the Thetford seat and it fitted reasonably well - not totally secure but good enough for the short duration it was needed? Derek Uzzell
This 2005 MHF thread may be of interest http://www.motorhomefacts.com/forum-printtopic-1-8972-0-0-asc-viewresult-1.html It may be more difficult to attach a 'riser' securely to a Thetford bench model than to the swivel type but, whatever adaptation is made, secure fitting will be absolutely imperative. Better your wife risk post-op problems by having the toilet seat 2" too low than end up in a heap on the bathroom floor.
