French Aires POI 's to TomTom help needed

I am having problems in trying to load the zip'd French Aires to my TomTom POI's. I hav'nt got much hair but what I have is gradually being pulled out. I really need someone in the Chelmsford area or thereabouts with whom I could go to for help to either guide me through the process and have me up and running.

I'm not TomTom-literate, so I can't advise on a hands-on practical basis and I don't know if there are things to beware of regarding different TomTom models. It might be worth Barney saying which TomTom model he is trying to load the POIs on to. Also which set of 'aires' he's got. (I'm tempted to think it's the campingcar-infos set, but who knows?)

Thanks Flicka and Derek for your info, I will have a look at what you have advised me to do.

My TomTom is an XXL and I am trying to use the i-campingcar.fr poi's.

Will keep trying before i go completely bald

Hi Barney. I've done this successfully a couple of times but I'm not THAT close to Chelmsford - I'm 'way over East, in B-o-C.

Can you recall what was done as I am trying to upload to my TomTom XXl some Spanish Aire files from my PC in ov2 format and I cannot work out what to do as I'm pathetic with computers?
