Our tax return is sent as normal via the HMRC system and is all satisfactory.

 

Now in a different part of the country there is another set of inspectors who are inspecting the inspectors or so we are led to believe.

 

We received a government form in the post detailing that we owed a VERY LARGE amount of dosh, of course we do not for the HMRC system deals with all that as it has been for years.

 

We were told that our tax details were being investigated and that there was a penalty if not replying by a certain date, all it seems to be is a new 'department' checking an old 'department'
