I got a warning about this off another forum.

This warning is also on BBC News Technology

As most of you know, I'm not to good on PC's so over to you Brambles (John) :-D

Looks like I've cocked up again.....but the warning is about Java script 7 and use of Oracle and saying to disable it until its been sorted

Bit like me Michael. Google BBC news then click onto the Technology in the subjects bar look for Java script or..........'Java still flawed after update'

Personally I am not too bothered. There are many flaws in all operating systems (look at how many patches and security fixes Microsoft have / are still, releasing). Security gaps are a fact of life in the world of software and unless Java / Microsoft go public and say 'Beware', I shall not be uninstalling it.

Edit: Yes you are right and the current suggestion is to disable it, however I am not going to do so because I am not at all worried. I have virus scanner, SpywareBlaster and Spyware scanning programs on my PC and I do not visit 'dodgy' websites (except for this one ;-) )
