OurTour.co.uk Posted January 24, 2013 Share Posted January 24, 2013 We're in Tunisia right now, before we set off we'd planned to wild camp around the country, however after a midnight wake up by the police telling us to move next to their station and the second anniversary of the revolution bringing army and police onto the streets, we soon dropped our plan. Maybe we're wimps, maybe we were wholely unprepared after months of free camping in Italy or maybe we just need to man up a bit, but we didn't feel comfortable wild camping. So we put out a plea to readers of our website OurTour.co.uk for help finding places to stay - they responded admirably. We've collated and translated information from several blogs, databases and emails and posted a list on our site. It's an amazing country to visit, but for us at this current time campsites and guarded parking are the way to see it.
