sean.clarke
Well, just got back!! We stayed overnight at Marine Parade with 2 other MHs and got an early train across. Yes, I can see that Cite Europe is very easy to get to and would not hesitate using that in future, although with LD Lines / DFDS Seaways now going Portsmouth to Le Havre that may be the preferred future method (example May crossing is about £190 compared to Brittany's £500+ return for a tag axle). After some self inflicted stupidity with the Sat Nav we decided to take the tolls, which incidentally they charged us at class 2 (camping car) both ways. Iain Strachan
Journey done now and I hope you had a good time, I would like to recommend the Drum Inn its just 5 minutes from the tunnel, good food real ale if your drinking and a reasonable price. You need to phone and book. We will be using it on our way back, in March. Cheers
ham
We usually cross over early evening and stay at the Yacht basin, We Used to stay at citie europ. It's a Lot noisier now they have changed the layout of the tunnel roads. I looked at LD Lines from Portsmouth But they quoted me £320 against euro tunnels £138. And I have already got half the cost covered with My Tesco vouchers ...Phil
