Coachman Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 Have been looking at Pilote Galaxy GL 24 1997. Has 70000 on clock,the photo's show it to be in good order but as we live 140 miles away from dealer wonder whether anyone had had one . It has a 2.5 engine. Any comments welcomed.

But, for 16-years-old motorhomes, the important thing will be the condition of the specific vehicle involved rather than any pros or cons of the original design. It's likely that a Truma C-6000 combination air-water heater would have been fitted to a 1997 G24. If that's the case, and the motorhome you are interested in still has its original heater, you should bear in mind that these early Truma appliances are virtually unrepairable nowadays if they develop a serious fault.
