duetto owner Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 we use our duetto all year round and the blown air heating has done well works of diesel or mains. last few days heating comes on as normal, van gets nice and warm heater cuts out but as the van cools the heater fails to come back on till the van gets very cold, never used to do this, now 4 years old. anyone had this before, wondering if its the thermostat and is it easy to replace.
spospe Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 We have a similar Duetto to yours and I would say that if the heater works as you describe on both mains and diesel, then it is likely that the thermostat is faulty. The 'stat is easy enough to change, but I would ask an Eberspächer dealer first before spending any money. http://www.eberspacher.com/dealers/dealersearch.html
duetto owner Posted March 19, 2013 Author Posted March 19, 2013 stalwart thanks phoning them tomorrow, left a message on marquis answer machine a bit mifted they never returned my call.
duetto owner Posted March 22, 2013 Author Posted March 22, 2013 took it to a Eberspächer dealer, they think its the leisure battery may be duff in that it has power to turn it on but not enought to turn it back on again when the thermostat cools down, also they questioned the leisure battery was more like a 2nd vehicle battery than a true leisure battery[ but were not fully sure]. both batteries lie under the drivers seat which is a pain to remove to check the battery. the duetto is due a service/MOT next week and Eberspächer suggested i get them to fully check both batteries before i go any further. still not heard back from marquis, anyone know if they have gone bust.
