leaving the EU is not a solution it is a process. Unless you back it up with policies on how to seek out new markets to replace the loss due to trading duties being imposed, or new sources of investment to replace those multinationals who want a base insise the EU not outside it, and new jobs to replace those lost by a major shift in our economy, or proper immigration policies which should and could be in place now but won't be after leaving either because it will be the same idiots in charge - unless you do all that and more you haven't got a solution, you've got a mess.

Not the old import tariff scaremongering again *-)..............Well if we did leave we'd have a lot more cash to invest in our economy instead of us paying for other countries to take our jobs *-)

Yes, there would be extra cash to put on the "income" side of the equation but if you're saying that we should simply ignore all the potential entries on the "outgoings" side then it doesn't seem much of an economic policy to me. :-D

With respect Dave, you've got it wrong yet again, the only source of valid information is John47, only problem is he hasn't got any more valid information at his disposal than you or I, but is still more than happy to ridicule pretty much everything everyone else say's.

Do you really think that anybody outside you little group is fooled by your constant attempts to pretend that I said something that I didn't?

I have made it abundantly clear that all reasoned attitudes are valid and I only object to the bigoted (ie non-reasoned) attitude of what amounts to a very small and sad handful of people on this forum. But you have no answer so you have to either issue personal insults or pretend I said something else. To once again turn your own phrase against you - you fool no-one (or at least very few).

There are many different ways of looking at the problem. At one extreme are those who say we are still rich by world standards and so should be more prepared to open our borders. At the other extreme are those who say if we do that then we will all end up poor and so we need to close the borders now. All are perfectly legitimate views. I tend to be closer to the former than the latter

So a country a trillion pounds in debt is still rich? :-S..................well I suppose if you include what people have saved in the bank ;-)............Wait a minute!!!! 8-) 8-) 8-)........

I see Cyprus has given you ideas 8-)..........

Your not a loony liberal at all :D.............you're a free radical.......radically free with other peoples money (lol) (lol)

I reckon you must be on old Rumpy Pumpy's Christmas card list ;-)

Oh I see he hasn't popped over to Egypt then to sort out their bigoted views, and there's me thinking he would.

>:-)

Funny thing about him is, he hates bigots, and yet in the next breath he say's he has Muslim friends, what a laugh, the biggest bigots going...........from a fellow kuffar. >:-(

Following onefoot's lead in the misquoting stakes, I see. My (carefully chosen) phrase was RELATIVELY rich - and that is undeniable to all except it seems a few on this forum. And if you read what I said properly you'll see that I said it was one argument at one extreme of the debate; I did not say it was MY argument (although I do lean closer to that end of the spectrum than the other).

Now I know you have thrown that idiotic statement in just to rile me but all you are really doing is demonstrating your bigotry over and over again. You would fit in well in an organisation like Al Qaeda - ever thought of joining them?

So you haven't got the courage of your convictions to tell us what they ? ;-)..............

At least us thick blokes are honest :D

No problem. Like most thinking people I look at any situation at any given time and work out what I think might be the best solution. Nothing is ever fixed in stone (unless you are a bigot) and as circumstances change then so do views. I used to be closer to the end of the spectrum that says we are relatively rich and should be flexible about letting people in than I am now. The reason for that is clearly the declining economic situation in the UK. Consequently, I believe that we should be limiting immigration - but not on the basis of ethnic origin or religion - or any other such grouping. I believe a far more sensible way is to use some of the measures I have outlined in earlier posts - ie only allow people in who have a long-term job to go to, or who are the spouses of UK residents, or who have a certain level of savings behind them that mean they would not have to rely on the benefits system. We should also be enforcing rules that already exist about non-emergency medical provision and for penalising legitimate residents who knowingly harbour illegal entrants.

Oh, and drop the "thick" bit - it is fooling nobody. ;-)

Why are you asking him, do you think he's got Osbornes ear and can give a few tips. Nah mate he's as clueless as the rest of them. He should go and ask his mate Terry Waite to go over and sort those bigoted Muslims that are now running Egypt to lay off the minority Christians, mind you I doubt he would, in case he ends up chained to radiator for four years by those peace loving folks. 1foot kuffar.

Keep trying - it's water off a duck's back to me but it does show everybody else what you are really like.

Some people seem not to have heard of that law about holes and digging (lol) (lol)

And me Dave,we don't speak proper.

I've just had a PM from him asking for a meet at the OK Coral to settle things, I said that's OK as long as he doesn't bring any mates with him that may be vest wearers. :D
