Cassette Toilet Problem

I'm assuming that your toilet is made by Thetford, but it could be helpful to know which model it is. If the flushing mechanism is electrically operated, then the problem may simply be a blown fuse. If you look in the cassette locker, at the 'roof' part that's above the cassette, you should be able to spot the fuse. It's a normal automotive blade-type 3A fuse. (Early model toilets had 2A fuses, but Thetford later advised that it was acceptable to use the more commonly available 3A fuse instead.)

Hi Derek Thanks for the advice and taking the time to reply - it is much appreciated. I did not realise the flush mechanism had a fuse I thought it was just a mechanical pump. I have removed the fuse which is a round screw in type (P 2.5/250V). The fuse wire inside seems unbroken to look at (or can't you tell by looking?) but I will get a replacement just in case. If the fuse is OK. what else would you suggest I try.
