Lovely Scottish weather

Where are all you motorhomers? We are having the driest, sunniest spring weather up here in the west highlands of Scotland and yet there are hardly any motorhomes about. Forget what the BBC say about the weather in Scotland, on the Ardnamurchan peninsular we have had less rain this year than the sahara desert!

We`d be up there now if it wasn`t for the fact of a new Grandson being born ( last Friday ).

The MOT is due on the van ( tomorrow ) .

Then re-new the Road Tax when the reminder comes ( mid April ) and then here we come.

A few days around your area, then over to Skye, then over to Harris and Lewis then we`ll

make it up as we go along until the end of May or your Wee Friends ( midges...LOL ) get

too bad.

Congratulations and I'm glad to here your coming to Scotland, please remember that when the Midge rises in the West, there are less of the little beggers in the East, and even Braemar might be a little warmer by May.

Enjoy your trip

Hi Iain and Thank You.

We come up twice a year every year and had a very Pleasant and Quiet night on the Car Park

in Braemar last year.

We was going to spend the night on the Glenshee Car Parks but the wind got a little silly and

it was hard work standing up never mind trying to get some sleep in it.........................LOL

Excellent produce from the Butchers on the corner as you turn in, it went down very well for

breakfast the following morning.

We are heading over to Harris and Lewis this year as the wife wants to go in and have a good

look in the " Harris Tweed Shop " with a view to possibly a " Bulk Buy " for her Business.

The van flew through the MOT this morning so as soon as the Tax Reminder comes and the

new Disc turns up we can go.

Most are here in North Wales, loads around, the most i have ever seen at this time of year. We to are up to Scotland at some time this year, have not been for a couple of years now but always enjoy it.

Yes that is a good butcher, his dry cured bacon is some of the best. We have a friend in Skye that runs a knitwear business, does all her own dying she also sources some things from Harris. Is your wife in that game? Weve been back now from our 2.5 month trip to Spain, for 10 days and the itch is starting to scratch so we will be heading off soon I'm sure.

Cheers
