bobalobs
Have booked our van in for its first MOT this Friday and sods law this morning when I started it the red airbag symbol warning light stayed on . As the latest MOT regulations say all warning lights must work it looks as though I am heading for a fail unless there is an easy solution. The handbook says take it to the local franchise dealer but they are like golddust round here and the nearest one about 20 miles away does not have a good reputation. Any ideas? Anyone suffered the same problem? Is this a matter a competent non franchise garage ought to be able to deal with? Any help much appreciated.. bobalobs
Just been to my usual non franchised garage who are doing the MOT. Seems it is a fairly common problem but will have to be plugged in to the diagnostic computer. Asked if we have moved the seats recently. Hang on . The first thing we do when we arrive on site is to swivel the front seats!!
Brambles
If you have seat belt tensioners, which you undoubtably will if you have airbags, then check the wiring to them is intact.
