I would have thought that it is exactly because he is so full of sh*t that the cesspit isn't. B-)

....does that bring us round to the "Rum, Sodomy and the Lash" debate that was going on elsewhere whilst I was away? ;-)

 

...actually, whilst I'm lowering the tone of the debate, I'll roll with it. My experience of cesspits is only in passing, but friends of ours bought an ex-station house out in the sticks, which had no mains and a cesspit. Shortly after moving in they had to have it emptied (note to oneself, if you ever buy a house with a cesspit, make it a condition of purchase that it is emptied before moving in), and it turned out that much of the content consisted of condoms.

 

It caused some hilarity, and apparently the tanker operative ("this business sucks") reckoned it was not an unusual occurrence. 8-)
