Geee246
Seriously thinking about adding air assisted suspension to the rear of my van. It's a CI Carioca 625 on the Ducato X244 chassis. Trouble is that on the rear offside just in front of the bump stop there is a bracket that bolts up to the chassis with 2 long threaded bolts. seemingly attached to the floor. This is located just underneath the internal wardrobe and water tank. Can't see what it's supposed to be doing there. Has anyone any idea what it is as it would be restricting the fitting of the bellows.
Mel B
Hi Geee, welcome to the mad house. :-D At a guess, it could simply be a securing point for the water tank. :-S
PJay
We had the Dunlop System fitted three years ago. Makes for much better handling and ride. We have a 12v pump so that we can adjust the ride according to load etc.Bought ours from Marcle and had it fitted at the local Fiat commercial garage, who do our servicing PJay
Dave Newell
Is there by any chance a belted seat just in front of the wardrobe? If so my guess is that this bracket and bolts are the bits that secure it all to the chassis. D.
Geee246
Hi Dave. Sounds like a reasonable explanation. Shall have a look next time I get the chance. Hope it isn't for the belts otherwise I may struggle to fit the air. Thanks for your response.
