lunartraveller
Has anyone any tips on removing rear brake drums on circa 1999 LWB Ducato.I have removed the fixings but the drum will not come off.Could it be something to do with the self adjusting mechanism,I am used to old Land Rovers but dont want to resort to the sort of violence used on them. Dave Newell
Hi Geoff, Once you have removed the wheel bolts and wheel you will find a pair of studs screwed int othe hub flange through the drum. Remove these first then you need a pair of 10mm (I think) bolts. around the drum face you will see anothe pair of holes that are threaded, screw your bolts into these two screw holes, once the bolts bottom out on the flange you then turn them a half turn each at a time and you will "jack" the drum off the hub.
