vicwo
I bought a full satellite system for £80 in April this year. The dish is made of plastic and looks like something out of a lucky bag. Got down to Tournon on the Rhone and ****** it worked. I had the Victor Meldrew bit ringing in my ears. All this fuss about big dishes, ok good weather and a load of luck but I still Dont Believe It. Bought a Multimo now but the receiver is still worth keeping because its 12 volt. Take care.
colin
One of my dishes is 80cm, in good weather, as you say you had, it brings in perfect pictures from the satelite its pointed at, last night it was raining, half the channels where lost! so if you stated dish size and signal strength it would be helpfull. The Tournon area is not a dificult area to pick up Astra 2 signals so a small dish should surfice, but further afield or in bad weather it might struggle. WWW.sateliteforcaravans.co.uk has feed back for dish size from diferent areas.

vicwo
Hi Euroanchor thats the one I paid £79.99 for in April. Its the first time I have had a go with a mobile kit and for a 35cm dish that looked more like a toy. I tried it a home in Yorkshire first and it worked, dead chuffed I was. Over the water to Northern France and it still worked. I got as far as Tournon near Valence and again it was still working and getting the channels I wanted. The weather was very good so luck may have been with me. If you are going abroad sort it before you go--half the stuff you dont need ( brackets and things ) take care
