Dave225
I assume you have checked the normal things first such as the trip switch on the RCD box. If you have 230 volt power then check if your fridge has a fuse that may have blown. If that fails to find a fault and the fridge works otherwise then it is likely the 230 volt element has blown. The part is not expensive but fitting it can be a nightmare as the fridge has to come out, so gas pipes have to be undone. It is also possible the hob will have to be lifted to get at any gas connections. If you have any doubts at all, get a dealer to do the work. Even if you do decide to do it yourself, get a gas check done afterwards. Also the fridge has to make a good seal at the rear in order to work correctly and avoid any fumes entering the habitation unit, so all in all let some else have the hassle but be prepared to hand over a fair bit of cash. bikey
Hi Dave thanks for the info, yes rcd and fuses ok, have taken covers off and the gas connection is very accessable with a 90 degree elbow union , going away for 20 day trip so will run on gas and consider options when we return, the sealing to the back wall is superb,no draft coming through there unlike our last Autotrail that whistled a hurricane through the fridge if you were side on to the wind.
