Iain Strachan
Colin, enjoy your trip, we too are heading soon to that area in a couple of weeks, Newcastle to Amsterdam ferry. Some places we have been to a few times. Jabbeke near Brugge, good for overnight and for Brugge, or the Aire at the bus station in Brugge. Charleville-Mezieres has a campsite Mont Olympe, also an aire at the gate. Built next to the river and marina. Municipal site in Metz right in the city, again on the river, also with an aire at the gate. Epernay the Champagne capital where all the great houses are based, has an aire in the centre and if you want to stay longer the municipal site by a lake is good. Have a great time!
