Guest pelmetman
It does make you wonder though ....................the country's up to its neck in debt.........and they are bitching over the bender agenda *-).......... Just to clarify for gay community ;-)...................I'm not homophobic, and as an atheist I don't give a fig whether people get married in church or not, but it does make you wonder what our elected knob heads are doing all day ...................if this is all they can do for their 65k + 140k expenses*-)

Guest peter
When I said it would be beneficial, I was not refering to my own situation as I'm getting plenty thank you. I was thinking more of Richard, then perhaps he wouldn't have the energy to spend so much time on here. But now he's gone and bought an ice cream van, there won't be enough room for any hanky panky anyway. (lol) (lol) (lol)

BGD
This issue can be resolved by Parliament in 10 seconds: Just let anyone marry in law (Registry Office, etc) anyone else that they love regardless of same or other gender; and allow preachers/churches/Mosques et al to each decide for themselves whether they want to allow same-gender religious marriage services in their buildings. There. Job done. Now MP's and Ministers can instead spend just a little bit of time instead on some REAL important issues facing the UK economy. malc d
BGD - 2013-05-22 9:21 AM . Now MP's and Ministers can instead spend just a little bit of time instead on some REAL important issues facing the UK economy. I think you will find that they have no idea what to do about the economy, which is why they are trying to divert the publics attention to gay marriage. ... and, sadly, as usual, the media are going along with it. :-(
Guest 1footinthegrave
I don't think you'll see any homosexuals getting "married" in Mosques. (!) But what a kick in the teeth for the Tories that they had to get in bed with Labour to get it through, next they'll be marrying them.
postnote
As my old mate BGD aka 'Knob' would say. "Don't knock till you have tried it". It's only wrong if you enjoy it !!
colin
I believe there's a back door agenda here ;-) several MP's have called for the married persons tax allowance to be reinstated, saying how marriage shows commitment to a relationship (what a load of bulls**t) these same MP's where very anti same sex marriage, whats the betting they will remain quiet now.
