Twerking is a "dance move that involves a person shaking their hips and bottom in a bouncy up and down motion, causing it to shake, 'wobble' and 'jiggle'."[1] and to "twerk" means to "dance in a sexually suggestive twisting fashion". I like to think my combined twerking and manboob wobbling cuts quite a dash on the dance floor B-)

Symbol Owner
.....................And you all wonder why certain other cultures think that we are all:- 'going to Hell in a handcart' - and treationg our women with disdain -- and far worse -- not to mention the effect of this kind of sub-pornography on our own young people -- http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-22643862 None of this condones the actions of young male 'rape gangs' -- either young men of Asian origin or white footballers either -- but you can : 'see wwhere they are coming from' Soory Dave , I'm no prude, but this 'sexualisation' of young women has surely got to stop somewhere? Tracker
As I see it, the female participants do so voluntarily because they enjoy the game, the money, the contact, the exhibitionism or whatever else and who are we to sit in judgement about what is right or wrong under these conditions? Personally I have no interest in watching this form of entertainment but I would not presume to condemn those that do and if the participants do not find it demeaning then why should we? Symbol Owner
Sorry Richard, but I think that is false logic. Plenty of people do demeaning things for all sorts of reasons,(trafficked prostitutes are an extreme case, for example) in the case of the women in Pelmetman's 'clip' probably for large amounts of money, but, and this was my point, if such things are treated as 'normal' then society, and all of us, is demeaned by it. It is only by condemning such practices as:- slavery, bull/bear-baiting/dog fighting/ hunting/hare coursing etc., etc., that such practices become unacceptable in civilised society and laws are produced to stamp them out. Your sort of 'laissez-faire' is O.K., in many instances Richard,but......... if we were all allowed to do as we wished (like Pelmetman (?) :-> ) were would we be then? Cheers, Colin. P.S. To repeat myself -- I am particularly concerned about the effect of this kind of laxity on young people -- having brought up two myself ( one of each, if you wish to know!) C. Symbol Owner
A whole lot of things used to be legal ( like the ones that I Quoted Dave) but it is my view ( and I am usually pretty libertarian) that the demeaning of women, by reducing them to 'bodies' to be leered at by libidinous/lecherous men does affect people, particularly young people. I find it strangely ironic that you should ( quite correctly) 'sound off' about the activities of young Asian men, some of whom have been rightly prosecuted and jailed for their disgusting treatment of young girls, but condone the kind of lacivious behaviour that contributes to their view (as your saw in that T.V. documentary)that young white women are all 'hores' (sic). Colin. Well there's an easy answer to that Colin ;-)..................even us fick blokes know the difference between right and wrong :D..............and trying to link a sport partaken by I presume by consenting adult women, and the treatment of those young girls is pretty far fetched if you don't mind me saying *-)...........as most chaps I know don't treat their women folk as inferior like the Asians appear to do in their culture 8-)......... But that is the whole root of the trouble Dave -- the clash of cultures-- here are young Asians, brought up in a culture that believes that women should be completely covered, and yes, be subservient, but to their husbands -- promiscuity being punishable by stoning to death in their home country ( just as we used to burn 'witches' ( or other equally cruel punishments) They also have a prophet who had four wives, one of whom he 'took to wife' at the age of 6 and is said to have had intercourse with at the age of 8.(a practice which is still current in some Muslim countries -- as was shown by a very poignant 'photo ' in the 'Guardian' showing two men with their 8-year-old 'wives'. Here, we have 'emancipated 'feminists' on the 'pill' ( and 'on the pull' -- to quote my daughter!) wearing next to nothing in warm weather (when we get it!) seemingly available to all and sundry -- and some of them are -- sometimes for cash, sometimes not. To return to a previous post --the amount of available pornography 'online' -- coupled (oops! did I really mean that word? :$ )with explicit adverts for various sexual services from British women of all ages is absolutely apalling -- is it any wonder that tesoterone-filled young men ( and not just Asians either -- as the well-publicised 'shenaniggins' at Manchester United a couple of Christmases ago showed) 'groom' and abuse young women who they believe to be available? And, perhaps, may well be confused concerning the 'rights and wrongs' of such behaviour -- there are several instances of (seemingly )consensual 'gang bangs' on line, after all. No, Dave, the 'sportswomen' that you showed, performing various exibitionistic activities, are just the 'tip of the iceberg' of our kind of female exploitation in British (supposedly Christian) modern society -- the contrast between the two cultures is so dramatic that no wonder it spawns deviant behaviour -- which is not to excuse it at all -- merely to point out its social origins as I see it. To repeat myself -- I am particularly concerned about the effect of this kind of laxity on young people -- having brought up two myself ( one of each, if you wish to know!) /QUOTE] Sorry Colin - I think you are losing the plot here. Just because you don't like the activity of these women, you cannot compare the legal sporting activities of women partaking by their own free will to 'trafficked prostitutes who are forced under threat of violence and death to work for their masters. Neither can you compare the likes of slavery which is again a forced situation with no free will involved and to include animal baiting and hunting etc also has no relevance in this comparison. If you can come up with viable comparisons of banned similar human behaviour then I am happy to discuss this with you, meanwhile, whilst I see your point I really can't agree with it. I too would not watch it but neither would I wish to impose my views on others to prevent them from watching or playing a legal activity if they so wished. There are plenty of worse things that young people see on the internet, facebook, twitter etc so sorry but I don't think that argument holds water either. You can call it laissez faire if you wish but I too have a strong sense of right and wrong and I cannot see anything wrong in this activity - distasteful yes - but not wrong. Colin. You Guardian readers are just old fashioned prudes Colin ;-) ................What you see as female exploitation I see as a natural extension of equality :-D..................go back a few years and a bloke who was promiscuous, was considered a stud or a ladies man...........yet a woman who indulged in the same behaviour was called a slag or a whore *-)............ I was born 30 years to early (lol) (lol) The above is why I think trying to make a connection between the Asian grooming gangs, and your perceived lose morals of the Western female is incorrect :-| ...................because the Wests culture is moving forwards and evolving..............where as our Muslim friends are stuck in a time warp *-) I'm starting to think I'm far more egalitarian than you Guardinista's B-)
Guest 1footinthegrave
I think it speaks volumes about us that most UK ISPs have closed down my "dodgy" file sharing sites that I could download "pirated" music, and yet a google search for "free porn" brings up an unbelievable 779,000,000 results.
