Remis Cab-blinds

Remis cab-blinds for the windscreen and side-windows are fine for privacy but (in our experience) provide little insulation. We now use additional internal insulating screens that fit behind the Remis originals and, on our Transit-based Hobby, this meant re-tailoring the side-window screens into two separate sections that can be wriggled behind the Remis blind-cassette. When we purchased the insulating screens it was obvious that they would need to be altered in this way, but the vendor also mentioned that the Remis blind-cassettes could obstruct the fitting of external insulating screens that are secured by loops round the side-doors. Just a word to the wise...

Just a word to the wise...[/QUOTE] Derek, We have the Solar View external cover from Silver Screens. The Remis blinds on the doors will just about fit over the cassette box. We found after a few months the fit was a lot better. Mike Parker from Silver Screens offered to modify the screen for us but we managed OK. It's a simple DIY mod Mike will explain at the shows if need be. Don

thanks Derek. we have Remis on the new A-class and were thinking of doing exactly what you have done for the windscreen. We have double glazed side windows so mat try a hand at making our own for the screen, then agin I may just order one...
