geoff
Can anyone assist with daytime parking information in Heidelburg ? As a my wife can only walk short distances we are are looking for (disabled ?) parking spots near to the Alter Brucke arch, the Fish Market, and also the castle. I have tried in vain to find Tourist Information for the town in order to locate parking info, emission controls, and tram details in case we need to park on the outskirts. Robinhood
The centre of Heidelberg is an Umweltzone which, from the start of this year, requires a green sticker. Can't find the details in English, but here in German (including a map) http://www.heidelberg.de/servlet/PB/menu/1186629/index.html
geoff
Thanks for the info, its led me into other sites and it looks like I'll have to park up and jump a tram or bus cos most of the parks are either multi storey or underground. I've located a free parking spot at Kirchheimer Weg, its just outside the Umweltzone and easily accessed from the south but as I'm approaching from the north it's looking like I 'll have to do a 10 mile detour or try to navigate a zig zag route to get there. There appears to be a large roadside parking area near the gardens at the rear of the schloss - anyone know anything about that area ?
