antony1969
Want to know what's wrong with this old country of ours ? Watch Skint on channel four as I did last night . Scunthorpes finest showing the world how to survive on benefits . Days filled with tedious duties like drugs , drink , smoking , crime , all at our expense . Please note Antony fully acknowledges not all on benefits are on drugs , drink , smoke or commit acts of crime . There John no need to reply now . Tracker
There is not a lot wrong with our country - it's the attitudes of it's occupants that is the problem - and they don't look like being changed any time soon!

That's the way it is, that's the way it's always been, that's the way it will be - there's no such thing as bad weather - only inappropriate clothing - so as human beings claim to be the most adaptable species ever to live on this planet perhaps it's time we adapted ourselves to our own climate! It's not a major problem just mildly inconvenient - unless you own a motorhome and are retired and can shove off somewhere warm and dry whenever the mood takes! duetto owner
some of those people on skint are feral parasites they live for drink /drugs, doss around go theiving and wrecking the neighbourhood all paid for by tax payers. did you notice the large flat screen tv sets, they had. whats the answer bring back work camps where they get into a routine of getting up to goto work, get used to doing something useful in return for benefits. when you look at them covered in tattoo's, men with earrings/piercings, scruffy hair, scruffy dressed and wonder why they fail interviews for jobs. what chance had the fat mans kids got of a respectable life they way he swore at them, and openly bought stolen gear. It seems effing and jeffing is the norm in front of children these days . As for these benefit cheats the system we have makes it too easy to live the life they want to live and you find them in every town or city . Thousands of em laughing at the silly old tax payer . If only Had Enough could pay a little less income tax then there would be much less in the pot for these work shy wasters . The End .
Hawcara
I drive a bus now, it's okay as long as you switch off, no pun intended. There are always bus driving jobs and they will train you, as long as you have a car licence and a pulse (although I sometimes wonder whether both are necessary). I know a bloke, who has not worked for 16+years, but they have young children. Asked him if he wanted job at my place 'Nope I'm not driving a bus mate!'. Saw a chap walking down the street with his maid, covered in tattoos and work colleague said 'No-one will employ him looking like that~result for them!' Just an opinion, not meant to start an argument, but that is how it is now. We reward negative behaviour by giving airtime to those on Skint programme, we don't reward positive by showing those who do the naff jobs in a positive light :-S
nowtelse2do
If you are on benifit's, are the tattoos paid for on the NHS? I beleive they are expensive. Dave

vindiboy
I watched "Skint " for the first time last night and was horrified about the way some of these people have to live, yes some of them are on benefits , smoke and drink and take drugs at our expense., most of them are hopeless cases mainly because there is no way out for them, imagine no money and a habit you cannot control, the only way forward as one Female could see was Shoplifting and Prostitution, she ended up in Prison and thought that a good option, food and warm bed supplied ,as for the large Television, one person got theirs from a shop that was charging them £1,200 interest as they could only pay for it weekly, loan sharks swimming around them, one Lady got £60 from a Cash Converter for her rings, £60 she already owed to drug dealers and she was in serious need of another drug fix at the time. It is easy for us who are well heeled and well set up to pontificate about these sad people, but try a few weeks walking in their shoes and then you may be a bit more tolerant They are living like feral animals and all around them is crumbling their Neighbours are equal to them and are the Neighbours from hell, imagine if you lost your job, used up all your savings, was evicted from your home and ended up as these hapless people with no way out, there but for the grace of +++ go I. I am no do gooder but this programme touched me.

I am no do gooder but this programme touched me. It touched me also but in a different way , one of disgust . The guy who got his TV on the never never is a disgrace to his family , effing and jeffing every other word in front of his kids and openly admitting to doing hooky stuff . The lady druggie who had her kids taken from her is also a disgrace . These days druggies get masses of help to get off drugs if they really want it and what more incentive do you need to stop when your kids have been taken ? I didn't see anybody on the programme to feel sorry for , save your sorrow for a pensioner who has worked all there life and cant put the heating on in winter or feed themselves correctly . Guest pelmetman
I was amazed by the permanently p*ssed window cleaner 8-).....................how often does he fall off his ladder?........ Although they have my sympathy.................and the drug dealers have a lot to answer for..............I'm not convinced handing out benefits is the answer for these people :-| The bloke who said "I don't care what people think", about him paying 2.5k for a flat screen tv on the never never as its his money 8-)...................correction its the taxpayers money *-)
