hi all,

we are new to motorhomes and are blown away by the choice on offer.

we decided after advise to go out and look at some to get an idea of size shape style etc.

we ended up loving the design of the CI Carioca 656.

so if anyone out there has or has had one can you please give advice and pro's and con's to this model.

we nearly bought the first one we saw and it was a hard decision to walk away and do some homework :-S

all reply's are much appreciated.

CI used the "Carioca 656" model-name continuously for quite a few years, despite major changes during that period to the Fiat chassis on which the vehicles were constructed.

This MotorHomeFacts thread

http://www.motorhomefacts.com/ftoptitle-127149-ci-carioca-656.html

discusses 2004/2006 Carioca 656s, but there would have been a significant chassis change in 2006/2007 and the MHF comments might not be relevant to the later models.

Consequently, for valid feed-back from forum members you'll need to say which Carioca 656 you have in mind - the earlier version

or the later one

Hi Derek,

thanks for the reply,

i didnt think to put down the year but to be honest i am not sure whether to go with a budget of 29k so the 2010 model or to go for a budget of 20k making the year down to about 2005/6.

the model we saw was the 2010 version with about 8k mileage and modern looking woodwork so looked the business.

ill check your links, and thank you for the reply, much appreciated for this novice (feeling like a new driver just on my first test).
