JasmineAnders
The door on our Starspirit would not open. The service department of our dealer said "climb up on the roof, force open the lavatory roof vent and the try and lean in with an opened wire clothes hanger to release the catch." I simply unscrewed the door knob and yanked on the spindle with a pair of pliers. The door immediately opened. It was just the "hook like" catch on the bottom of that long rod that was sticking. A friend found that the fixed bed mattress in his new van was covered in a different material to the rest of the van. "Well" said the salesman," You won't notice when the bed is made up." Another friend has found on his new van that if he travels with a full tank of water (don't know why he does that) he finds that half of it has disappeared out of the overflow by the time he gets to his destination. The service department at the dealers suggested fitting a one way valve into the over flow pipe or moving the pipe lower down the tank (?)
Bill Ord
John, If you had ever arrived at an Aire to find the water out of service you would know why people travel with full water tanks. Bill Ord
Guest starspirit
I always travel with a full water tank because I never know when and where I am going to stop or when and where I can get some more. All part of the fun init! I extended the overflow pipe on my starspirit and now I lose hardly any on the road. I also repositioned the draw off pipe into the tank centre and now I can use all of the water in the tank. And all at virtually no cost - result - magic! MOTORHOMER
Hello Nothing to do with Motorhomes but we once had a very well known brand of printer & we had a problem with it so promptly emailed the technical help dept. Back came the email reply with the following help:- Turn your printer upside down & give it a shake. Motorhomer

Don Madge
I was once told I'd used the van "Too Much" because I had 45,000 miles on the clock in three years when I went to trade it in. I wish I had a pound for each time I've been told "You'll never sell it" when people ask how many miles I've done. :-D My present van has done 42,000 in three years, that's a bit down on our usual mileage as we spent one winter in OZ. It's just about run in now. We buy our vans to use and not sit on the drive like garden ornaments :-D Don

Wingpete
Had a Pioneer sat/nav/dvd/radio fitted this year. Good bit of gear ! But, unable to use it without the ignition being on ? Contacted fitting firm, who suggest it is to prevent me leaving the ignition on and draining the battery ! Still waiting to have a switch placed inline for power feed .
