trickydicky Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 After a slight worry about the unusual amount of rain the Mosel has had,we thought we'd venture there and see what Germany had to offer ( never been before). Well, we needn't have worried, it is absolutely beautiful, weather as well as scenery. We love it here, KINHEIM being our favourite stopover so far. We have only stayed on stellplatz, and find them faultless.they are so reasonably priced.to be honest, it puts England to shame, they have it so right here.why,oh why, does England have such an attitude concerning us motorhomers .oh well, now it will be Spain for the winter, and it looks like Germany , along with France, for the summer. Even with ferries and fuel taken into consideration, we feel you get so much more for your money abroad.shame,as we would love to tour our home country.
Guest searchforsites Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Have to agree, up and down the Mosel is built for Motorhomes. This was one of our favourites http://www.searchforsites.co.uk/marker.php?id=10383

We've just bought a motorhome. :-S Welcome steadsy, you will find lots of tips if you read through past posts. Familiarise yourself with the motorhome in the UK before venturing abroad. Decide on the types of camp sites you may like and buy the appropriate books. We have a book for Aires, mainly France, A book for stellplatz, Germany and generally find the Caravan Club Europe book good for general campsites. Find the nearest Lidl and buy copious quantities of their Germany Wheat (Grafenvalder Hefe Weissbier) at 30 cents per 500ml bottle. The motorhome will now be overladen so find the nearest campsite to park. Drink the beer until within the legal weight. Then move on to another predetermined area. Stopping at Lidl of course to replenish stocks.
