Pete-B
Today I've been quoted from local Fiat commercial dealer £210 + VAT for my first service on the base vehicle, it's a Fiat 2.3 Euro V. This is for a low mileage service. I'm told the only difference between this, apart from being £100 cheaper, and the normal one is, they don't change the fuel filter, adjust any slack in handbrake cable or check clutch oil reservoir. Not having any experience before, is this a good price or should I shop round?
Sydney1
How old is the vehicle? Remember you only need the first service after 2 years not one as many believe. Seems a fair price but for the sake of a couple of phone calls you might save £

Pete-B
Thanks Sydney, my Bessie will be one year old in July but a bit wary of leaving oil change etc for two years. I'm sure you're right but when I contacted Fiat customer service this morning they didn't mention anything about two years. Also, just a thought, if anything cropped up that needed warranty work could they use the fact that it hadn't had it's first service at one year as an excuse to refuse. I'm probably being over cautious but is £250 to buy piece of mind and the knowledge that oils have been changed and brakes and steering etc checked a lot to pay out?
