Star55 Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Hi When we purchased our 2007 motorhome (Hymer B514 SL) a couple of years ago the floor was slightly discoloured but this seems to have deteriorated, certainly this year. Is this because of cleaning products used plus sunlight? There is no blind on the rooflight in the bathroom so we can't avoid this. Does anyone have any ideas how we can reduce the state of discolouration and maintain it ? Many thanks
pepe63xnotuse Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 If it's a "wet room" type of set up, then there are companies that can revamp(and repair if need be),these types of trays/floors. There's usually a big advert flashing about at the top of these pages for one such company(but I can't for the life of me recall their name :$ ) If you don't get any response on here, it'd be worth reposting in "motorhome matters" because that gets more "traffic"... ;-)
pepe63xnotuse Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Hi again.. You're probably sorted by now but if not, these may come in handy: http://www.outandaboutlive.co.uk/forums/Motorhomes/Motorhome-Matters/speedcoat-/29427/ http://www.speedcoateuro.com/productfaq.html ...I happened to stumble upon the old thread, whilst looking for something else....
lennyhb Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Is it a yellowing of the white plastic if so probably due to UV. If the roof light is an MPK there is normally a roller blind above the fly screen, the fly screen & roller blind are both available as spares separately.
Star55 Posted June 23, 2013 Author Posted June 23, 2013 Many thanks - we found an old post that recommended enamel bath paint, checked with the company and now sorted - looks as good as new.
