atom13
Hi guys, I'm new to motor-homing and have just bought a 3 yr old elddis autoquest 155. The fresh water level guage seems to be very erratic and quickly shows 'empty' when it's obviously not! Has anyone else had similar problems and, if so, is there any way to fix it? Grateful for any comments/advice. Alan
laimeduck
Hi - loads of replies to this on previous threads - use the "search our forums" feature on the top bar. Put in "Fresh water guages" or similar, change the time limit to eg 1 year, and you will be reading until Christmas! To get you started - this one from a few days ago. http://www.outandaboutlive.co.uk/forums/Motorhomes/Motorhome-Matters/Fresh-water-tank-low-water-alarm-problem/31707/ Have fun! Cliffy
Had similar problems with our autotrail the solution was to fill the tank half full and add two 1.5 ltr bottles of malt vinigar then have a drive around and leave it soak for a couple of days. When you drain it down if you get flecks of white floating in the water, you may have solved the problem as the guage is affecfed by lime scale build up. Not in our experience, our water gauge is very accurate except it now has a fault and keeps giving out the 'running empty' alarm all the time ... hopefully it has now been fixed at the habitation service done today!
