Windows Live Mail playing up....

Can I ask a question of the more techy members please...

As the title suggests, today we are unable to send or receive anything using our Windows Live Mail(using hotmail accounts).

This is what it's bringing up...

Server Error: 0x80072EE7

and Windows Live Error:0x80072EE7

Over recent months,we have the odd email from Microsoft saying how "Windows Live" was being replaced with "Outlook.com"...it wouldn't have anything to do with that, would it? :-S

Thanks....

In my experience the 'transfer/upgrade...(haha) the whole 'Live/Hotmail' thing has been a mess.  I had an insufferable number of 'can't connect' messages and a corresponding number of failures to upload attachments that I have routed my accounts through G mail.  I receive my Hotmail e mails there now, can reply and add attachments without a hitch.

Thanks for responding Roger...

I did ask the question on a Microsoft support/help fourm("Microsoft Community" I think it was)and apparently that error pointed to it being "their end..it'd probably right itself"(..this seemed to be backed up by the fact that others had also asked a similar question yesterday...)

Anyway..it starting working again last night... ;-)

We keep our "tech" down to a minimum (..no fancy phones,iPads,Facebook,Twitter malarkey)and therefore tend to think that we don't "rely" on it that much...Wrong!...even just by losing our email for a few hours yesterday left us feeling that we may be missing something important, even though we weren't waiting for anything specific or important to come through.. *-)

So are they going to "pull the plug" on the Live Mail side of things, so we have to switch to this new Outlook.com then?

(..although thinking back, wasn't there an incarnation of "Outlook" handling the mail, on our previous XP..? :-S )

I do wish they'd just leave things alone.....! (lol)
