huftob
I have a 2006 Autocruise Starspirit . The plastic moulding surrounding the key insert in the habitation door has cracked all the way across . Though the lock and handle still work it needs for reasons of security to be replaced . Any suggestions gratefully received .
Derek Uzzell
Welcome to the Out&AboutLive forums. I think the habitation door-lock fitted to your Starspirit may be a FAP "Pro Tek" model. There's an example here: http://caravan-parts.store.buegle.com/product.php/-autocruise-motorhome-door-lock-/?k=:::3173242 This UK website advertises a wide range of locks and parts, including several 'fronts' for FAP variants http://www.motorcaravanning.co.uk/shopuk/zadi_locks.htm It's possible that the lock Autocruise used for their motorhomes was also used by caravan manufacturers. If so, you MIGHT be able to obtain a used replacement from a caravan breaker which should be cheaper than buying new. The important thing will be for you to identify exactly which make/model of lock you've got.
