brianhymer Posted July 19, 2013 Share Posted July 19, 2013 hi, my fridge is working fine on 12v and 230v, but on gas only the freezer box is working. anyone any ideas what the problem is (?) will I need to get an engineer out to it. my m'home is a hymer b584, 1999 vintage. lennyhb Posted July 19, 2013 Share Posted July 19, 2013 Ian is probably right, the older fridges didn't like it above 25deg the newer ones perform much better in higher temperatures. Cheapest fix is a couple computer case 12 volt fans about a fiver each fix them inside the top vent with cable ties so they draw hot air out. You can either wire them via a thermal switch or just an standard switch. IA standard switch is easier to fix and just switch them on during the day and off at night.
