nightrider
And once again the child care authorities appear to have slipped up badly, a Polish mother and her "man" have been jailed for 30 years for the horrendous murder of her 4 years old son, the man in question was the boys stepfather, the biological father was in Poland, this couple starved, beat and force fed the boy with salt, the stepfather had already served 3 terms of imprisonment, my heart bleeds for what that kiddie had to endure, lets hope that the other cons give them what they deserve, bastards. John 47
Putting the knee-jerk, "hang-'em, flog-'em" reactions to one side, I find this case (from what we know of it through the media) to be one of the strangest I have ever come across from the point of view that somebody must have noticed what was happening. Sometimes, it is easy for a clever and devious parent to hide things from the authorities but this child was seriously mal-nourished and apparently covered in bruises. It strikes me that somebody is seriously at fault. The teachers at the school must have thought something was not right. Did they report it? If they did, why was action not taken? There will be an Inquiry and the findings of it will make interesting reading. In the meantime, one little life has been lost when it could have been saved. very sad.
