New Huddersfield Campsite

It seems I have woken to a new caravan site which has opened for business on a local football field .

No electric , no toilet facilities just empty your bucket out over the field , no rubbish removal just throw it round the back of caravan and also break through the security barrier as and when you please .

The price for all this ..........totally free , just left to the taxpayer to clean up after , scumbags !

I know, we had a Camping and Caravan Club Temporary Holiday Site behind our house once. Don't worry though, they'll be off soon. (lol)

Probably more chance of getting closer to Area 51 than that close to Fortress Frankie and I wouldn't want to subject those poor traveller types to one Franks sermons .

Joking apart if I had my way I'd send in the riot squad and shift them immediately. They don't bugger about in France if this mob invades a field.

And I'd confiscate every single untaxed and uninsured vehicle, which would be most of them.

Sorry Frank - but it made I laugh - and that is the big difference between you and almost everyone else on here - most of us can take a joke, laugh at ourselves, and respond in kind - it's called banter and you may recall I have mentioned it a few times.

I know you are capable of humour so please don't try to deny it but it would be o so good to see you partake in it more often as believe it or not I think that you do have quite a lot to offer this forum if only you could get past the 'why does everybody hate me stage'!

Actually, you may have noticed that I do have sense of humour but when the same person seems obsessed with you and tries to work you into every thread, it gets very wearing!

Now if most other people had said it I would have taken it as a bit of fun, but this bloke just never stops and it's boring, boring, boring! He's so bloody predictable.

Yes I have noticed you have a good and often wry sense of humour - but if I may be so bold, why not reply with humour when someone has a dig at you as it can seriously disarm the very person who you feel might be getting at you, if indeed they were getting at you, and if they were not then nobody gets offended or upset?

Come to think of it - I might just try it myself!!

Give us a few pointers then, what exactly, ;-) the only thing I've seen him offer is a bloody bad attitude to almost everyone.

Sorry for been boring again . Another little thing our gypsy friends did was to go to the local farm shop order steaks , chicken etc a good old order take the bags , refuse to pay and walk out .

Go to the local pub , cause trouble and get thrown out , the night after three of them went back to the same pub and pardon my description but they did a poo in the pub lounge area , nice people hope they visit a site near you soon .

Here in Bury St Edmunds we have the "Irish travellers" extracting the urine they took over the football & rec. area at the top of the close where I live, When they were moved off ( 2 weeks Later) they travelled 1/4 mile down the road to where we walk our dogs and as tracker puts it we are all over 70 and don't take prisoners so the police had to be in attendance in order to look after the little darlings, abuse and intimidation didn't work with us but we all felt sorry for the council workers that had to clear up after them they had emptied their toilet containers in the woodlands and they had not used any chemical waste products. My comments to the effectiveness of the police was that they were as much use as a chocolate teapot they were not amused but they had watched these people drive 50meters along a footpath forcing pedestrians and cyclists off the path and it's bordered both sides with trees and bushes. In 12 days they only issued 2 tickets for driving on the footpath they had 8 vans a number of cars and were in and out of the field at least 4 times a day. John >:-)

John , disgusting is it not ? why these things constantly get away with living outside the law in everything they do is a disgrace .

Hate is a strong word for me to use but I'm very close to hating the whole god damn lot of em .

We have the Dorset Steam fair soon near Blandford and it attracts a lot of the Travellers. Thefts go up in the area and the Police are powerless to do anything.

Most of the farmers and land owners protect their own by blockading and other means.

It works to a degree.

But sadly it does mean that because these extreme protective measures have been effective in marked contrast to the ineffective actions of the Police, the travellers now look for easier options such as Recreation Grounds and Football pitches.

But why do we allow them to be above the law Clive ?

If 20 of us off Chatterbox got together in my local park breaking down the barrier and committing acts of crime then I can only assume we would be dealt with pretty quickly .

Low life people with low life values that disrupt and cost decent folk money .

Could not agree more Antony

There have been several "incidences" on the Dorset Hampshire border where Farmers band together to help each other when the travellers come to call.

It is better now as the Police did crack down in the mid "noughties"

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/dorset/4217600.stm

And do not believe the BBC 'spin' that several families bought the caravans in all innocence!! :-S - every single one was a traveler family with a stolen caravan.

The following year more were found but only about 6 if I recall correctly.

Now the Police take no nonsense and "wild camping" by Travellers is not allowed - they have a "Transit" camp set up for them and they go there or they are escorted away.

It costs money but by doing this Dorset Police say the crime figures are far lower so it is effective.

The worst thing we have heard is that where they used to camp on footpaths etc where people would walk their dogs - the scum would grab your dog if they could and then demand money from you to get it back. The intimidation is extreme with threats of violence and that they may go taking the dog with them so you will never see it again.

Scum like that need putting down in my view.
