Symbol Owner
How about this UKIP 'fruitcake' test, folks? I scored a resounding (and hardly sdurprising) 'NIL' (!) http://www.theguardian.com/politics/shortcuts/quiz/2013/aug/13/quiz-ukip-fruitcake-test?INTCMP=SRCH Cheers, enjoy! Colin. Oh I did mean it as a bit of fun Colin :-D - But I do find the Guardian tiresome sometimes in that it tries to make out it is above such manipulation and is a "serious" paper and then it goes and runs this? But I suspect such antics is what made the paper what it is (lol) See the current circulation statistics for what I mean by that! http://www.theguardian.com/media/table/2013/jul/15/abcs-national-newspapers 8-)
Symbol Owner
I buy the 'Guardian for its humour - sometimes subtle, sometimes 'In yer face', as much as anything -- If I just wanted a 'neutral' presentation of news items I'd read the (dull as ditchwater) Independant -- even lower in the circulation list --I am pleased to be an 'elite' Guardianista, but it should be taken, like all newspapers, with a good spoonful of salt! Colin. Me too! I did the quiz and this is my result: "20 out of a possible 100 No thanks. Perhaps your right-on views might be better suited to a career on Whitehall or at the BBC?" For one heart stopping moment I read "right-on" as "right wing". Talk about loaded questions - just a bit of fun as you say, and it does like to poke fun at its own leftish leaning Guardianista loyalists. But I will confess that my answer to the climate change one may well have been the same as Clive H's!!! Gwen

Tracker
Watch out Nigel Farage - on the basis of my score your position could be at risk! Mind you it was not hard to suss out what the 'correct' as opposed to 'politically correct' answers are! But a good bit of fun and brought a few smiles all round so my thanks to Colin for that. Retread24800
Playing up to the selection committee, and taking into account the view of UKIP fans on here, a truly representative cross (?) section, I slanted my answers to try and gain selection, there would be no need to actually attend Strasbourg etc. because its abroad :-) and found that I had out farraged Farrage with an 80.Naturally I was totally honest and believed every word as I gurned into the Camera!
