CliveH
This report came via one of the "pinks" I strongly suggest we all take note of the names of these firms - should anyone get contacted by them - take as much detail as you can and report it via the FCA website:- ................................................. "The Financial Conduct Authority last week issued five warnings against unauthorised firms targeting UK consumers with what appears to be regulated services, including one firm offering pension release services, as well as two clone firms. The two clone firms identified are: • London-based Dinosaur Group/Dinosaur Investor Services (UK) Limited, clone of FCA authorised Dinosaur Merchant Bank Limited with trading names Dinosaur Merchant Bank and Dinosaur Securities (UK) Limited; and • London-based Blue Sky Group Europe, clone of FCA and EEA authorised Blue Sky Group B.V. Of the latter, the FCA warned that Blue Sky is using the name, contact details and the firm reference number of the authorised firm in order to make their claims seem genuine or to suggest they work for an authorised firm. Alongside these warning were three warnings over unauthorised firms, including a Denbighshire-based firm that appears to offer some form of pension ‘unlocking’ service: Pension Release Scheme. Other unauthorised firms which the FCA said may be targeting UK customers are: • Temple Nugent Capital Management, also known as Temple and Nugent Investments (Belgium); and’ • Jordan Parkinson Group (New York). People who invest in these firms will not have recourse to the Financial Ombudsman Service or Financial Services Compensation Scheme if they feel they have been deceived or unjustly treated, the FCA said. ........................................... These firms scam you via unsolicited phone calls and emails - BE WARNED! .
