kelly58
Last week I popped to the McDonald's near the Auchan in Coquelles to access the Internet and looked at the price of the burgers . Would you believe a standard burger was 1€ and a cheese burger was 2.17€ that's a serious expensive small piece of cheese.
laimeduck
We are (were) partial to a slab of Comté cheese when in France. In June & July we were dismayed to find that in Auchan or Leclerc, a decent lump, (say 12 or 18 months) was in the region of €25 per Kg ~ about £10 per pound! ( just checked online - now £25.00per Kg in Waitrose) Needless to say, Comté is now only for special occasions :-( I doubt that McDonalds use Comté - probably "La Vache qui rit"- all the way to the bank! :-S :-S
