arjxh56
Hi. Has anyone tried the Milenco External Blind? .. I am looking to get something to insulate and keep the internal condensation away. I know the silver screens are highly rated, and i was planning to get a second hand set of those, but they are like rocking horse xxxx! Whils searching, i came accross this and wondered if anyone could give me a view? I notice they have sold a lot of them so hoping someone on here has tried them http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290535192503?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 Many Thanks
Guest JudgeMental
the ad says better for pre 2006. Fit looks a bit rough and if thats best they can manage for the ad......well! :-D
arjxh56
I have also looked at a thread on antoher site about Taylor made screens. These appear to be held in higher regard than silver screens? As for the Milenco, I havent found a single review?... Just looking at that single seller details on the link i posted, over 40 sets have been sold... There must be someone on here that has tried them? Failing that... i think i will stump up the cash for the taylor made... Its just a lot of money and due to redundancy kicking in this month, i am watching the pounds :-( Anyone selling a set of Taylor made screen that will fit a 2010 and 2012 model X250 Fiat? Guest JudgeMental
had the taylor made on my Ford based Euramobil coachbuilt and they were fine, very good quality... a bit bulky though. Now after some thinner ones for our 2011 Fiat panel van that fold a bit smaller than the fully insulated style..if anyone has any ideas I would appreciate the info..don't really need sub arctic insulation :-D edit: try and get the longer ones that cover vents..lots of cold air come through vents.. RogerC
IMO those ebay ones look a poor fit and I would steer clear. We have Silverscreens and believe me they are worth every penny. Initially I thought them expensive but as the saying goes 'buy cheap buy twice'. In the grand scheme of things if you can afford a MH then you should be able to afford decent screens. Silverscreens aren't so highly recommended for nothing.
mildi
I have two sets of the Taylor made, very good product, good quality bought the second one for my work van (ducato) so now in the winter I can get up in the morning and no frost on the outside or the inside. In the summer keeps it nice and cool. I had the internal ones before and there were a waste of money
lennyhb
Saw the Milenco ones on an X250 a couple of weeks ago it did look a bit rough but they are cheap. I had Taylormades on my van they are heavy and bulky compared to the Silver screens I replaced them with far easier to store and appear to be made of better quality material.
