We ordered a carbon monoxide alarm an Ei208. Our question is have we bought the correct one for our motor home?? hallii Posted September 6, 2013 Share Posted September 6, 2013 Hi frank and Sandi, yes you have bought the correct one, carbon monoxide is the killer and is given off by open flames or even barbeques. The other sort of detector will detect gas leaks including narcotic gases, but no one has ever been gassed by narcotic gas in a motorhome. Since LPG gas has a distinct smell even in small amounts it is unlikely that you would miss a leak unless you have no sense of smell like me. So I have the two detectors.
