Rees
We have an Autocruise Accent 2010. The drainage taps (both fresh water and grey water) have become very stiff and do not turn easily. I have squirted Halfords Rubber and Nylon Lubricant (I assume that this is actually Silicon spray) into the pipe barrel (the tap does not come apart) and then added Vasoline. It now turns but is still stiff - probably necessary to prevent leaks. My dealer states that this is what they would do and even if I had new taps fitted, these would also become stiff to turn in due course of time. Has anyone else experienced this problem and how was it resolved?
BrianBW
Hi Rees, they all go like that. The plastic expands after time causing the problem described. I replaced mine with an ordinary 22mm lever water tap. Seen in all the DIY catalogues. Had mine for 5 years and is still smooth to operate. If your ffitting does not match use adaptors.
