Ninian
Hi, Has anyone used the services of Regal Furnishings or Care Avan for having their van refurbished. ie Cushions, fabric, curtains etc. Or can you recommend anyone else you've had good experience of. Thanks.
Keithl
Hi Ninian, We used CareAVan earlier this year for a full makeover of our AutoTrail and have to say the results are fantastic! In fact far better than we had imagined. We did not go for Regal as their sole selling point seemed to be that they would do a full makeover in one day which we felt would be a rushed job, and they would not do all the work we wanted :-( I can send you before and after photos if you want. Keith. PS And don't forget they offer 10% discount for MMM subscribers.

ham
Having tried to get quotes from other companies with out success. We spoke to reluxe furnishings of Ilkeston at the Malvern show they gave us a quote there and then. https://www.facebook.com/ReluxeFurnishingsbyPremier. WE took our van up to their premises in Ilkeston, choose the materials we wanted. We where allowed to stay at their premises in our van with hook-up overnight, they simply measured every thing up that afternoon. And the next day manufactured the new interior including the curtains and scatter cushions also both driver and passenger seats. All seating had new foam as well We where lent a company car to explore the area whilst they carried out the work and returned the next day to a very new looking interior. We tried to get the work done in South Wales but they did not want to know, I spoke to two other companies at Malvern and they said yes but you need to bring the van to us to give you a quote . But Reluxe asked what van it was and said ok, we have done a couple before so what do you want and when, then gave a us a price it came to under £1500 …They will be at the Lincoln show next week I believe http://worldofmotorhomes.com/inside-van/upholstery-furnishings/reluxe-premier-furnishings they are also http://premierfurnishings.co.uk/
teflon2
We had our 6 berth motorhome refurbished by Regal in 2009 I can't praise them enough. Yes they do it in one day but the quality and care they take is amazing they even fitted pockets on the back of the cab seats that were not there originally they fitted pads at the rear of all the shelves all curtains were fitted with tie backs, cushions and corner pads for rear lounge made to your requirements all on new foam seating, they take real pride in their workmanship they started at 7.30am and didn't stop until finished at 6.00pm then took the time to check all was to my satisfaction before signing off. When we sold the motorhome earlier this year it was the upholstery that did the trick it still looked like new. sorry to have gone on but when you find a company that takes such pride in their work you have to praise them. John :-D
crinklystarfish
Yup, Regal did mine too, made everything from scratch to my exact specification. Don't be put off by the one-day thing, they throw an entire army at each job. I too kipped in the van in their compound the night before so they could crack on at 7.30. They work to a very high standard. I would go back.
