pepe63xnotuse
We use Briafields, for visiting Cheltenham & Gloucester(Christmas fairs etc)..it is walkable into Cheltenham but the bus service is so regular and offers "Day rider" type tickets that allow you to shuttle in and out as many times as you like, so we tend to use that.. http://www.briarfields.net/index.htm
peterjl
Hi Have just booked into th CC site at coniston and notice it is now open all year. You can walk to coniston and get get bus to Ambleside, hawks head, and Grasmere. We have walked to Ambleside but it's 8 miles however a lovely walk past tarn howes. We seldom go away in the uk, the occasional trip to Devon out of season or Scotland in April,May ( no midges) however coniston is my favorite uk site cos the walking from site is excellent. Good luck Peter
Keith T
Have stayed at Briarfields, as above, and enjoyed it greatly, also there is a site at Bath just by the P&R or can walk along river/canal into the city.
flicka
Have a look in this month's MMM "Open all year" supplement - quite a few listed. Lincoln, Ludlow, Llandovery, Shrewsbury, Wells, Cardiff, Bath + others within walking distance or a short bus ride away.

pepe63xnotuse
Keith's post above has reminded me that we've also used Bath Marina a few times.. http://bathcaravanpark.com/ (..although you're not members, some CC sites do take non-members(but at a higher rate!),so if a location appeals, it's worth asking...but it's not a cheap way of doing things.. ;-) )
bobalobs
C&CC site at Oxford. Facilities a bit tired due to lengthy planning wrangles blocking serious investment but next to the Park and Ride and a City with so much to see and do.
