Rod_vw Posted October 16, 2013 Share Posted October 16, 2013 If you are referring to original VW fitment sliding windows then yes there are. From the start in 2003 some of these windows leaked, there have been many revisions to these, non of which are obvious to the casual view. The majority should have been fixed by now. Most dealers will say that the T5.1, facelift or GP (which ever name you know the model from 2010?) has the window leaks fixed but this is not so as I have one that still leaks. No shame on my dealer who has the problem in hand under warranty. The problem with mine is that water leaks in between the glass and the bonded on lower slide assembly, it's not much of a leak but never the less they do leak. Other than that it is important that the slides and seals are kept clean and that when closing the window it snaps shut firmly and completely.
