How are you getting on with the dipping?

UPDATE:

Got hold of some electrical varnish (contained Xylene - nasty!) and dipped it. Left overnight and then replaced the covers using the bolts in the widened holes whilst the varnish was still soft/tacky. Connected it up and after a couple of hours, which is usually when it got noisey, there was a slight buzz but nothing like before. Left it on for a while to clear the solvent fumes.

The slight buzz that was left appears to be from the covers which are now bolted in place. The buzz changes when I put my hands on the covers. So' I poured varnish in with the covers in place and then drained it out and left it a few more days. Some slight improvement. With the side bench seat down (this is where the electrical stuff is located) it is absolutely silent in the van even after several hours.

I heard from the agent who updated me with the price for the whole of the electrics including the transformer - £834. And he couldn't guarantee that it wouldn't happen again. A few quids worth of varnish is nothing in comparison.

Thanks to all that made suggestions, especially Brambles.

I'd tell you about the problem I've got with my shower but I've had enough for now. Maybe in the New Year.

Cheers guys. :-D
