Motorhome Storage

We have sold our home believe it or not but it was sold on the same day it went on the market,  but have not yet been able to find something we like . The quick sale was a bit of a surprise. Luckily we can go and live at our sons cottage , but there is no room for the motorhome , so we are having to look into putting it in storage . What points of advice do I need to be aware of ?

Hi, one obvious suggestion is to search fo a "COSSA" listed storeage agency. Caravan Operators Secure Storeage Agency. Enquire at your nearest Caravan Sales, or motorhome sales outlets.

Dont forget to notify your insurers of change of address and that the van is in storeage.

Drain down water and empty tanks, remove all food , and any valuables, personal items etc.

Cossa probably have a list of requirements as well, such as removing gas bottles.

May be adviseable to SORN the vehicle so that if it should go walkabout, it will be flagged up on police systems as suspect, so may be retreived quicker.

Hope the move to new home and sale all goes through successfully.

bolero boy - 2013-11-03 9:21 AMKelly, I thought you'd just live in the van! Preferably, somewhere warm......

That would be very nice our daughter lives on IOM and said we could live there and our son has properties in Chamonix and we could live there , but not very convienient  for viewing properties at short notice near where we want to live.
