snowie Posted November 5, 2013 Share Posted November 5, 2013 When out and about we use a MacBook, for email and research. We have a BT Broadband account and things work fine . Or rather, they worked fine until BT recently changed things. I used to have to use BT Yahoo, never been able to get "Mail" working (although it works fine from the iMac) I've been using Macs for about 20 years, so I'm reasonably savvy, but this has me foxed. Any advice from a fellow Apple user appreciated; otherwise mobile comm's may be a problem next trip. tonyishuk Posted November 5, 2013 Share Posted November 5, 2013 I assume you are talking about web mail, not pop3 type accounts.(Accounts downloaded to a permanent storage on a device) We are running "new BT Mail" on both a MAC (older desktop) Ipad and Kindle HD with no problems. I've been unable to use the Apple email app' "MAIL" , messages have remained unsent until eventually deleted. It would appear to be a "port" problem, and changing to a default port number seems to work.
